2008 – 2012 Ducati Monster 696

The 2009 Ducati Monster 696 has standard fittings such as a tubular steel trellis frame, a dual seat, a high-mounted dual exhaust system, blacked-out, three-spoked cast-aluminium wheels, a digital instrumentation display, a single headlight, a 43mm Showa upside-down telescopic fork coupled to a Sachs adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage as a rear suspension, and Brembo brakes with dual discs and a single disc in the front and in the rear, respectively. In the engine department it is powered by a four-stroke, air-cooled, 696cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerplant, mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce a calimed 80 horsepower and 89 Nm of torque.
