Description

The 2002 BMW R 1150 GS Adventure has been designed by the German engineers to tackle the harshest terrains possible, as well as allow the rider to spend as much time as possible behind the bars. It has, at its heart, an air/oil-cooled, four-stroke, 1130cc, boxer twin cylinder powerhouse paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a shaft final drive, and can reach a maximum power output of 85 horsepower and 98 Nm of torque. Standard features for this machine include side-panniers, a rear top-case, a large windshield, hand guards, laced wheels with off-road tires mounted on them, a front headlight protection, an aluminium bash-plate, auxiliary fog lights, a large-capacity 30-liter (7.9-gallon) fuel tank, dual front disc brakes and a suspension package with longer travel, as opposed to the base R 1150 GS.
